steering box
how feasible is it to take a power steering box and run it without power steering?
my truck has manual steering and i think the box is going bad. i cannot find a replacement manual box anywhere for a good price (under $500) however i can find used power boxes locally for $45 + $25 for a new seal kit. so if i take the p/s box and loop the lines together would it work or would it be way to hard to steer?

if you can get the box for that cheap, just pick up the pump as well and convert to power steering. you can do it without a Power Steering pump, but you will still need a fluid reservoir, as it's what lubes the gearbox.
