Starting issue (ignition??)
Ok so i have a new problem for you guys. I'm hoping its one that has already been diagnosed for someone else, but my searching revealed nothing.
On my 1990 3vze powered std pickup, i have a starting issue. It seems to only happen when i haven't driven the truck in a day or so. When i go to start it, i crank the key and i'll get a click... the first couple times it happened, i turned the key off, swore and eventually replaced the starter contacts (which were worn, but not that bad) I put it all back together and the same thing happened...
Tried it a few more times a few different ways and finally for some reason i held the key in the "crank" position. i got the first click as always, then a few seconds later another, then another until after about 15-20 seconds it started up...
Any ideas?

check out www.4crawler.com for tips on repairing the ignition switch. check all your ground connections as well, could be that simple.
