Spindle install help
Ok so I'm installing my drop spindles on my 93 2wd but cannot get the tie rod to separate from the little arm that bolts to the spindle. I tried hitting it with a hammer like recommended but the thing does not move. I imagine I'll have the same problem with the upper and lower ball joint removal as well. So anyone got some ideas? I don't want to have to replace the upper or lower joints or the tie rod end. I've seen the forks but it seems they would damage the bushings. I've tried a bfh too......and hard hits while prying up, tried putting a jack on the tie rod bolt and pushing up slightly. Notta

no, the 2 90* "ears" go on either side of the boot against the metal and the screw part presses the threaded portion through the a-arm and free
just make sure the ears don't pinch the boot

it's called a ball joint separator, but will work on tie rod ends just fine as long as both ears catch the arm which the joint is attached to
