spedo in my 86 truck running too slow. how to fix?

my spedo in my truck is showing about 10 mph to slow. anyway to fix this?

do you have bigger tires and have you changed the gears?

so maybe you do 65 on the dash and you're really doing 75?
You're running 33" tires on stock gears, right?

well see last night i got a ticket because i was doing 46 in a 35. i want to set the speed slow so that i can take it to a shop and have them calibrate it and say that the spedo was off.

how can i set it slow?

You can't calibrate toyota speed sensors. Besides, that makes no sense, why would you have it calibrated fast anyways...then it would make it seem like you knew you were speeding...

using the right gears along with tire size will offset eachother and read appropriately. if you google search for "tire size gear calculcator" or something like that, you can enter tire sizes and the gears you have and it will calculate the gears that you should use to get the speedometer to read accurately.

Well Zeath go 10 mph slower then.
