sounds like a plastic bag on my CV

Just like the title says, recently on my driver's side area I notice a sounds like a plastic bag stuck on my front axle. It slows down when the wheel slows down and it only seems to happen sometimes (depends on the temperature.)

I locked the hub to see if that would make any change, and it doesn't. I propped the wheel up on some jacks and turned it to see if I can duplicate it. I cannot.

Any ideas?

No ideas? I'm not joking about the plastic bag noise to get some raised eyebrows. I even tried rolling down the window to see if it I could hear it from the wheel hub. It sounds more like it's from the inner wheel.

Got trees or trash caught up behind the wheel? Your truck is 4WD right....so it does it all the time no matter if its in 2WD or 4WD.... prob bad CV axle replace em. Ball joints? Loose parts? Loose caliper or steering compnents. Dust sheild rattling?

Have you inspected your wheel bearings?

I did check for play in the wheel bearing while I had the driver's side on jacks. That seems fine.

I checked for twigs, branches, trash, etc... and couldnt find anything. I havent tested it in 4wd yet. Just with the hubs locked.

Brake pads? Ive seen em come apart before, or maybe you have a rock or something stuck between the pad and rotor.

Is this noise on turns too? When you checked for wheel bearing play you wiggle the tire top to bottom right? If there is anyplay then your bearings need replacing.... wiggling it left to right will check steering and tierods.... if theres play in there it would be numorus things... inner or outer tierods.... pitman arm....centerlinkage.... idler arm......ect.... sure its coming from that wheel? Brake pads catch any goodies in between them?

Either the wheel or something vibrating under the dash or engine bay.
