So my alternator belt breaks on my 91 rrunner.
All back on and new belts. Went to spin the engine a hair to get the final fan bolt back on and noticed the pulley is not turning. Alternator belt is turning, but not the water pump pulley.... uh oh?

6-cyl 3VZE?
If the water pump pulley isn't turning you're really screwed; you broke the timing belt.
But the timing belt doesn't go anywhere near the alternator. I'm going to guess the fan is what's not turning, and that's attached to the "Radiator Fan Clutch Bearing Bracket," $135 at RockAuto.
When mine broke (it actually twisted the bearing out so the fan dipped into the radiator), the mechanic (I was a long way from home) said he'd never seen that before. But others on this list have.
$135 is not chump change, but I would advise against trying to press out the bearing to replace just the bearing. It's an aluminum casting, and once the bearing failed it could have twisted up the seat. But it's your choice if you think you have a source for the bearing only.

The fan belt and alternator belt run on a "false water pump bracket" that mounts to the front of the engine.
If that pulley (the one the fan is mounted to) is not turning your going to need a new false water pump bracket. Its sold as an assembly, you can not just by the bearings for it. (note that you get the right one for your 3vze, based on hydrualic timming belt tensioner or spring version)

My bracket has broken twice since owning my truck. the first one the entire rod/bearing pulled out and jumped all the belts off the front of my truck. had to drive home with no power steering. :/
