So I'm guessing my rear axle oil seals are toast?

I bought another yota recently. A 93 4wd 22re with a 2"body/3" suspension lift. 5.29 gearing, on 35's...but it needs some TLC.

The brakes were flaky when I bought it, so I started with the front. I installed new rotors and pads, and it helped a lot, but didn't completely solve the problem. I figured I'd to the rear as well once I got the time to do it...tough to find time with a 2 month old in the house.

Anyway...this is what I found when I took the drum off.

I am guessing the axle oil seals are gone? Anyone else come across this? I searched and found descriptions of this problem, but no pics. Just want to confirm before I start ripping everything apart.

Also, anyone have any tips on how to get a stubborn drum off? The other side is being a bitch. The 2 boltholes on the face of the drum used to pop it off are completely stripped. I've tried to loosen off the adjusting bolt but there is no room back there with my big mitts to get 2 screwdrivers in that tiny hole.

I just replaced those seals myself. To get to the outer seal your gonna have to remove the bearing I'm pretty sure, I cant remember cause I was replacing the bearing anyway. But if your removing the bearing your gonna need a press.
