Smoking Engine

Noticed a little smoke from my engine on the passenger side rear. I can't see anything yet but I did notice a few drops of oil on the sparkplug wire. I was thinking it's time to do the valve cover gasket, but wanted to ask on here first and see if there is anything else I should look for. Smoke isn't white or sweet smelling but it is thick enough to where I wont drive it. I'm going to check the oil and the water in the morning. Thanks guys
