Slave cylinder/clutch release fork

I need some help with this slave cylinder alignment. I just swapped out the clutch and put everything back together. I went to re install the slave cylinder and it would not fit behind the clutch release fork? You can see in the image that the dimple on the fork is not aligned with the cylinder. Did I do something wrong when I installed the housing. I tried moving the fork back and forth with a pry bar but it would not move...super stiff. Is that normal? The fork is the front center of the opening in the housing. Any ideas how i fix this?

thanks for your help!
