I was wondering if you could keep us posted on how the rad works for you, as I'm now considering getting one so I can rid myself of this mostly plastic one thats in my 3vze?. I like the fact that it looks like you can modify mounting and tweek it. Thanks again.

Yeah will do. It's already running noticeably cooler as I earlier stated. I won't know anything past that till mud bog season rolls around in a few months. Of course my observations will be skewed some anyway and any improvement I see is based on a 25 year old radiator.

hey extreme, did yours hang below the front crossmember. I have a stock 3vze radiator on my 22r and it was way taller than the origional.

That I don't know, I want to say these Silla's have Lifetime on the, but me ordering it online through eBay makes it a little difficult. Let's just hope I don't have to find out how.

I'll have to post a pic of mine when I get home, I went ahead and put on a 2 in. body lift I had laying around to keep mine flush with the bottom of that cross member.

Maybe if you washed your engine and radiator once and a while, the old one wouldn't have had any issues cooling other than the leaks.

It held up @ this weeks bog pretty well, even after getting doused with a fire hose when warm. I did get hot again. But it wasn't till me 3rd and 4th runs where I started having issues with cooling. I have to figure out a way to keep the mud from getting on the inside the fan shroud. Will Most likely be on the lookout for a Taurus fan.

As far as the cleaning comment, that was a 1987 OEM original Radiator. I hit the radiator after ever bog on weekends. When I had the issue with it the last time I just left it alone since I knew I was going to be replacing it.

Cleaning only takes a rad so far, did you see the fins on that thing, or the lack therof? Nothing to do with cleaning. Besides you'll have that when you run 3-4-5 mud bogs a year.

Hey dude, glad to see it held up, probably you'll need to see how it makes it through the season. Looks good with all that mud on it. I still think that your old radiator belongs in the smithsonian. I'm still considering getting one. Take care

Well, I installed my Silla this weekend and so far so good. I'm not really mud bogging to your level so i think mine will do just fine.

Install was a breeze. One issue I had was that the mounting holes didn't line up 100%. I knew this going in because this radiator wasn't really spec'd for the 22RE. I had to make some mounting brackets on each side so that it would fit properly.

The biggest issue is how high the radiator sits because this thing is a little taller than the OEM one. So much so that the hood wouldn't close. I didn't want to cut into my hood so I made brackets that dropped the whole radiator down a bit so that the hood would close. The only other issue was the skid plate. Fortunately the skid just touches the bottom of the radiator and I'm still able to bolt it up.

It was 85 degrees here yesterday and I took it out on the highway with about 200+ lbs of gear in the back and the AC on full blast. The hottest I ever got was about 160 degrees.

No issues with the rad so far. I did notice though that it's pushing coolant into the overflow and not sucking it back in. I don't know if it's rad related, if I got a bad cap or something else. I still did have issues overheating, most likely due to mud still collecting between the rad and shroud. I have to seal that up better or put a Taurus fan on it.
