shocks
i have a 94 pickup and need a set of shocks. i have 15$ carrquest ones on now and it rides realy rough so would i notice much of a difference if i went with say skyjackers? wat do you recomend. i dont realy do any off roadin just on road.

Bilsteins are great shocks but they are a little stiff for purely on-road driving.
I ran them and was happy with them, but the only place they really shined was off the pavement or taking a corner at 55mph with a spare tire on the roof.

OME shocks are good. They have several different options for firmness.
I have a feeling even the plushest ones will still be a little firm for your needs though.

i figure it will still ride rough im just trying to figure out if it would be worth the extra money to go with a better shock or just stick with carquest ones

I think anything would be better than the Carquest ones...I have never heard of them before.
A higher quality shock is a higher quality shock - whether it rides rough or not.

I have them on the back of my 4runner and they are nice. nice and soft. comfortable ride even with the stiffer springs.

Why not get some OEM replacements (or equal). I got a full set of the "Sensa-Tracs" (spelling?) from NAPA. 40$ a shot so they were a lot more than I'm used to paying but they are a direct replacement and built by Monroe.

The Rancho 9000's would be another good choice (I just saw the posts about them), as 904_runner said they're adjustable which may be ideal for you.
