Shifter seat bushing?

Alright, i went to the dealership today to order my shifter seat/bushing. While i was there i made sure to get both things, the seat and the bushing end cap. Unless they come together, i could only order the seat. What gives? i asked her to print a exploded diagram but it only showed the seat...

its a 87 22re/5spd

I ordered the Marlin one and it works great it just came with the bushing that replaces the cheap old one. I think there like 10 bucks on there.

I can imagine the seat and bushing being parts that mount both below and above the 'ball' on the shifter.

The white end cap on the end of the shifter is what im talking about

That part is called "the shifer socket".

The white shifter seat in that picture appears to be a marlin unit. The stock is black rubber.

Order the ones from marlin, they are better

Yeah, the shipping for the marlin peices was defantly a little high, but it was worth it for me

Let us know how it feels once you install it.

It says that on the web site but if you call it is $6 for shipping.. Note: you need both the seat and the end cap. Those are two seperate items. One is $10 and the other is $6 from Marlin. If you go to the dealer they will charge you $10 each. (I know I went). So the difference is only $2 in the end. Go Marlin if you can

yep marlin cost me about $22 delivered. Sometimes it is better to call your self rather thatn assume because of what you heard. You will get another chance in about 2 to 3 years when that old rubber o ring wears out.
