RPM? Overdrive and Towing Question

I have a 2.4 (22RE) Reg cab 4x4 1986 Toyota with the automatic transmission (with O/D). I have a couple of questions:

1. What RPM would I be turning if I leave the O/D off to tow my fishing boat. It's a 86 2.4 cyl with 235/75R/15 tires
I don't have a tach in the truck and am concerned I am pushing the engine a little too hard. The boat is ~1300 lbs. I assume that I can't leave the O/D engaged pulling the boat (no hills, fairly flat.... Prairie province Manitoba)

2. If I put a temp gauge for the transmission what temp should it be running at. (no extra Trans cooler)

Thanks
