Rough Idle

Alright the ol 4Runner is starting to idle a little rough like it almost feels like its going to die but then when I give it a little gas it sounds fine... but it will just keep going in and out...

I actually had to put it in nuetral a few times at the stop signs to keep it from dying...

Oh and also the engine is clicking like hell when I accelerate... what could be the cause of that...

Sorry so short have to run to class!

Thanks

Alright I havent even driven it for like 2 weeks now because there is no need to... but I went outside to the parking lot to drive it around for awhile and when I would stop at a stop sign it would just idle horrible and actually sound like it was going to shut off... the lights and everything seemed a little more dim too... and it actually did die when I got back to the parking lot...

Hum...

My '85 will pull strong on the highway no problem but when I let it drop to idle it stalls. If I ease off the throttle gently it will stay running most of the time but if I just step off the gas and let the RPM's drop it will stall. I haven't figured it out yet. When I do, I will let you know.
