Roof rack relocation

I am getting a roof basket and want to bolt up some lights to it. My factory roof rack sits so far back on my runner that I feel the lights may be ineffective. Does relocating the rack as close to the sunroof as possible seem like it would be worth it?

Why not put the lights on it stock location, then align them and see how they look...

unless you want to run more rails and towers, dont do it... it might put too much stress on the stock rails/towers... id just mount them in the stock location... its about as far back as an extended cab truck with a rollbar and lights... so it should work fine...
