Question "RH Ground Strap" OBSCURITY

I searched for this topic and people seem to be confused as to what the RH ground strap even is.

Im sure that the FSM isnt referring to the small ground wire that connects on top of the intake plenum, because the step "connect RH ground strap" is right before the plenum is even bolted back on. Besides thats a wire, not a strap..

I want to put it between the valve cover and the head but idk if thats right, Can someone show or tell me where this strap connects to?

What year and engine are you dealing with? Looks like a 3vze? If so, that top arrow points to the ground strap.

Thanks for the help folks

Thanks MudHippy! I could not remember if it went there or attached to the plenum directly.

Further research in the FSM reveals:
Remove
• RH ground strap from No.3 camshaft bearing cap (precisely where MudHippy indicated)

I understand that this thread is almost 5 years old..
But what does that grounding wire ground? Last week, I took it out and never attached it and started the car without it. It barely started and died immediately. I know that the car is suffering from very bad major vacuum leak from intake manifold but besides that I thought that grounding wire not attached also had some effect on the car.
what does that grounding wire ground?

The 3VZE can suffer greatly from grounding issues. It's not uncommon for people to upgrade there grounds on the older yotas for cheap insurance. If you had one that was disconnected I would double check the one on the drivers side and the large ground that runs to the block near the starter just to make sure they are clean and making good connection.
