Replacing the TPS - 92V6 P/U

92 V6 3VZE P/U

Hey guys, I have the typical indications of a bad TPS - no change when jumping the two points when trying to set the timing, hesitation/stumbling around 2500RPM.

My question is this, I don't have a voltmeter, can I just unscrew/unplug the old TPS and screw in a new TPS? Or do I need a voltmeter to properly install/set the new TPS to it's proper location?

Thanks guys
Steve

unbolt the old one, install the new one making sure its clocked right. Set it about to where the old one was. Start the truck and let it get to operating temp. With the screws loosened on the tps, very slowly turn it till the rpms change. When the rpms go higher, turn it back slowly till the rpms drop.tighten the screws and you should be done
