Replacing front crank seal, etc

Ok, I've decided to replace my front crank seal. I'm almost positive thats where all the oil on my front diff etc is coming from (based on all the ones I've read on this site). I am going to do the timing belt and the camshaft seals while its all open. Is there anything else I should be doing at the same time? My oil pressure is pretty low although according to a lot of posts, that might be normal for this engine. I'll check the sending unit and the oil cooler etc as well. Just wondered if I'm missing anything else. Thanks in advance.

The oil pressure is probably fine; the gauges are notoriously inaccurate.

I'd replace the water pump & idler pulleys; I'd be surprised if your cam seals are leaking. How many miles on the engine, and WHICH engine? (I assume 3vze since you said belt, but you never know...)

Oops

Sorry, didn't realize I had no signature with my truck info (first time using this site). Yes, its the 3VZE in a 91 pickup. I did replace the water pump about 30K km ago, so it should be good (too bad I didn't realize I should do all the rest while I was in there. The truck has about 300K km (about 188K miles on it).

Replacing the front seal might be a good thing in general, but if you are chasing an oil leak I advise one more step. Get the engine clean enough to eat from (use spray-on degreaser and a garden hose, combined with some brushing and use of a rag), and then run it for a few minutes. Where is the new oil now?

Gravity is not helping you; lots of us have found an oil pan leak that was really a leaking valve cover gasket!

Yep, did that about 2 weeks ago. At first didn't notice any oil, then when I finally saw some, it seemed to be pooling at the bottom of the oil pump area, and running over the lip of the pan and down. From what I could tell, no oil above the crank pulley height either. Thats what led me to think its the crank seal to begin with.
Also, I noticed it doesn't leak much at all on short trips, but after a long haul on the highway, lots of oil on the ol' driveway

I just had the timming chain and oil pump seals replaced on my 86 4Runner 22RE, everything was good for a few days and then it started leaking oil, just a little at first and then it turned into alot, pulled the balancer back off and the surface that the oil pump seal rides on thats on the balancer had a nice groove worn into it and was chewed up a bit, i had to replace the balancer.

I am torn down right now to do timing belt and water pump on a 95 with 3.0 engine and wasn't going to do the seals but then I noticed some oil on the front seal. Any thoughts on how to get the old seal out and doe I need any speciali tools to seat the new seal?

The factory manual shows using a screw driver to carefully pry out the seal. I've also seen people post that have used a screw threaded a short way into the seal, and then use it to pull it out. Seating it should only require a large socket or something similar of the same diameter.
I'm starting mine next weekend, hopefully all will go well.
