Dang, not what I wanted to see. I extended my o2 sensor wire to put in the LCE header and get an o2 sensor code, replaced it yesterday, gonna take it for a drive here soon.
After reading as many threads as I could find on the subject, test the resistance in your maf sensor. They work together and could be the reason your computer is getting "bad info" from the o2 sensor.
I would rather try to fix mine instead of using the old electrical tape over the check engine light. Hope you get it figured out.

yeah agreed i like to know that my engine is healthy. the lifter tapping and the dang bfg mudd terrains makin all that noise is starting to get to me. then the brake issue with my dragging brakes. i want this thing to drive nice. i love it, my girfriend thinks its a piece of @#^*. i want to prove everyone wrong when im still driving this thing 15 years down the road laughing. its just frustrating. i need to find me a seasoned toyota mechanic. no one seems to know much here in miami. i seem to find tons of "parts replacement mechanincs" but no one that can acctually answer my questions. pay no mind to me im just frustrated.

It's tough finding a good mechanic that won't take you to the bank.
Any luck finding some gears yet?

Yeah, I am no help, I put the new sensor in, double checked my wiring extension from the new header, and no code. Hope you get it figured out!

Wait I just thought of something .
My friend has a 3.0 he put a rebuilt motor in his 4runner.
was getting the o2 code , we couldnt figure it out , but found some of the hard line tubes from the egr were corroded (small tubes under the intake).
we bypassed them and hes all good now.
I dont know , check to see if all the emissions stuff is working .
