Replaced KS wire, now she won't start.

93 3vze a/t. She was running fine before I took her apart to replace the KS wire, now she won't start. Twice now, it popped out the back when trying to start up. I replaced the spark plugs and have them gapped at .032 per the reading I've done across the forums. I have NGK V power nickel's in there. As far as I know I put everything back exactly as I found it. Looking for common or possible things I could've unknowingly messed up.

I dont know the 3.0 but sounds like you left something unhooked. Even a broken KS wire shouldnt keep it from running. Did you get your air filter hose hooked back up? That is part of the fuel pump circuit. The air vane activates the COR which in turns energizes the fuel pump.

Timing belt moved?

I think I may have messed up putting the timing belt back on. Would this cause a no start condition? If so, did I mess things up really bad or is it as simple as taking the cover off and putting it back on correctly?

Uh, yeah, if the cams are out of time the engine won't run.

Fortunately, the 3vz-e is a non-interference engine, so no damage is done when the engine is turned over with the cams out of time.

You should be able to correct the cam timing and go.

Many engines are seriously damaged if they are cranked over with the cams out of time.

Thank you. I will find threads on correcting cam timing.
