Removing Overloads from OME springs
I've been thinking about taking the overloads out of my OME springs for more flex and travel off-road. What I don't know is if that is a good idea or not. Will removing the overloads cause my springs to wear out/break more quickly or no?

I took overloads off once and snapped the whole pack a few weeks later.
The flex you would gain would be minimal and shouldnt make a difference if you have lockers

The overloads don't affect your off road flex that much...It will take a bit more force to compress them, but they have little effect on droop. And taking em outs not gonna do anything for travel. Plus, you're gonna lose an inch and a half or so of lift in the back, so you're gonna have to compensate with longer shackles or a block. Don't do it.
Edit: If you want longer travel and better articulation, go for the 63" chevy springs. Sky Manufactuing sells a kit with all the necessary hardware, I think.
