as you know on 3.o the reed valve draws air from the airbox and using the venturi effect of the exhaust rushing by raw air is drawn into the exhaust manifold on the passenger side so that it speeds up the catalytic reaction and thus performs better. Would you agree?
okay heres the question. Theoretically speaking if you were to not run a catalytic converter would you not benefit from having the reed valve?

Well, Sin91's truck passed California HC and CO emissions with a hollow converter.
Seems the two systems compliment each other but are not mutually dependent.
And given that the PAIR system requires no horsepower to operate it, why remove it?

just contemplating and drawing conclusions of the melting pot of ideas and fathoms we call a toyota. lol but anyways would an engine benefit from having a cat. For example does it inrease gas mileage as well as reduce emissions? providing the engine has a proper amount of back pressure of course...
