Well here's the problem buds. 2 days ago my truck had a hard problem starting in the cold. well i sprayed some starter fluid in the carb like i do on real cold days and for some reason it finally started but only on 3 cylinders. well after about 30secs it switched over to 4 cylinders and sounded good again. so i drove it for 2 days straight and finally yesterday i'm driving home and i start losing power in certain gears. first it was 4th, then i would only drive in 3rd, then 2nd and right before i pulled into the driveway it backfired. It felt like it was hesitating and jerky and losing power in those gears. So now its sitting in the driveway and I dont know what the problem is. Any ideas? Could using the starter fluid alot on cold days be a factor? I'm lost.

Check the simple things first, start with the fuel filter, when was the last time it was changed ?.

maybe fuel pump?

clogged line?

check the fuel level in the sight glass as well
