Rear spring hanger off by a 1/4 inch??

My buddy's had someone do a trail gear 5" rear leaf swap on his 92 4runner a while ago. Today we were remounting his shocks in a different location when we decided to do some measuring between the rear spring hangers. we noticed that one of the rear spring hangers is welded about a 1/4 inch forward than the other side rear spring hanger. we measured each spring hanger to the front spring hanger and found this out. the front spring hanger is square to the frame.

does the rear spring hanger being a 1/4 in. off affect alignment or any other issues? it doesnt look like it is crabwalking down the road or anything like that, but he said he does feel like the 4runner pulls a tiny bit to the left or right when he stomps quickly on or lets off the gas pedal. maybe its just the soft ride of his springs?? he has a steeing stabilizer, steering is tight, etc.

any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It shouldn`t really affect anything, and your not really going to notice it, but if it bothers you or your buddy just knowing its not right, then you can grind the welds off and move to were it needs to be and reweld it.

1/4" should be nothing to be overly concerned about, especially when you said the front mounts are right. 1/4" should be taken up by the shackle bushings.

If you feel the axle is cocked, there is usually some room in the center pin hole in your spring perches. You can push and pull the axle around within those holes the center pin rides in. You may get just about 1/4 inch then tighten down your U-bolts again. It shouldn't pull but the steering wheel may be off-center a little as you compensate to go straight down the road.

First off road run or pothole, and the calibrated 1/4" adjustment that took 15 mins- to a half hour to dial in is misaligned.

Not if you tighten your u-bolts. That axle doesn't walk around back there. Shackles do but they come right back.

the pin in the spring pack should fit almost perfectly in the hole on the spring perch. Shouldnt be any play whatso-ever there.

1/4" i wouldnt worry about since theres nothing too worry about.
