rear diff

rear diff

got a slight leak coming from my rear pinion its nothing big its just a slow leak i think it may be the pinion seal i checked the vent on the rearend and its clean what do yall think?

sounds like a pinion seal. i would say check the level of fluid and how clean it looks. if it is dirty change it and add some thick oil stabilizer (stp or lucus). if it is low add some lucus. i have done this in the past and the leak stopped.

Yeah I thought about that cause it's not even dripping but the diff is wet on bottom of the 3rd member and around pinion so I figured it just got a lil thin or somethin I'm gonna drain and add some thick stuff prob wouldn't hurt since I'm runnin 4.10s and 36s lol
