Real world BJ spacer flex
Went out exploring today. With BJ spacers, torsion bars relaxed to stock height, the swaybar disconnected and the tires at 20psi, I noticed that the truck pitched less from side to side going over boulders. In this vid, you can actually see the front flexing a bit.
In all, I am happy with the BJ spacers, and other "IFS flex mods". Aside from maybe adding low profile bumpstops, I think my mods to the IFS are complete. Note, my IFS steering still needs to be beefed up with an idler arm truss. Instead of lifting the passenger tire, the tire stayed on the ground and allowed the drivers side to grab the boulder.
Maybe not all that impressive as its only flexing maybe 4-5", but if you only got 3" to start with, 5" is huge... (PS-you'd better not quote me on that last bit in your sig line.)

Does it ride similar, better, worse on road? freeway.. Highspeed (under normal driving conditions) cornering.. etc..?
I am considering BJ Spacers, turned down torsions to stock height, swaybar disconnects, and air shocks to take more load off the TB's .. that will help transfer weight between the left and right wheel to maintain traction and increase flex.. I hope..

very nice!
bet it leans like a some-bitch around corners with the sway-bar dico'ed and the t-bars relaxed geez mine's got a lotta body roll after removing the sway bar with torqued bars! but my shocks are shot too

It leans a bit more when disconnected, but it takes me less than a minute to reconnect the sway bars, so I re-attech the bars after airing up (no time during airing up cause it only takes 20 sec/ tire with York OBA

I've needed to make emergency avoidance maneuvers on the the highway, I wouldn't want to do that without my swaybar. Its not during the regular driving that the sway bar is critical- it isn't unless you take corners stupidly fast, its the emergencies.
Pickup lacks to 500 extra weight above the COG.
The disconnects are so easy to make, why risk it? Rollovers suck.

Matt I checked out the link to your disconnect thread and really like the way that turned out. I'll have to see if that can be done on a first gen runner as well.

YOu could ditch the rod end/ heim joint for first gen 4Runners (I don't know what trucks use to connect the SB to the LCA). That would reduce the cost to around $10- so probably the best improvement/$ there is because the denominator ($ amount) is so small.
