first off 86 sr5 pickup

trying to install a new radio in my truck. going off of pin outs, my radio harness is different. it doesnt have the same plugs.

here's my plugs.



yes, that is the radio adapter. the radio worked when removed. just want yo make sure my new one is hooked up right.

and yes I searched first,, nothing matches what I have.

I know your trying to hook the new radio up just not sure what your trying to ask??

Most times I just get the adapter harness . That plugs into the vehicle harness.

Then the harness coming out of the new radio gets connected (Spliced) to the adapter and it all plugs together.

Being the new radio and the adapter have schematics it is pretty easy.

I got it figured out. I had the 4runner adapter. so that threw me off. had too many terminals to my plug. all good. I kinda feel dumb posting about this. lol. had the radio wired and programmed about 10 minutes after I made this. at least its here if some one else has the 4runner vs pickup radio adapter. rear speakers vs not.
