Quick Question: Separating Engine from Bell House

I am needing to swap out my 3.0 with another 3.0. I have the engine mount bolts removed and all the bolts attatching the bell house to the engine are removed.

Question:
When I start to pull the engine, is there going to be a spline from the engine to the bell house that's going to be in my way? If so, do I just have to pull the engine forward a little bit to get the spline to clear?

This is the firs ttime I am pulling an engine. I couldn't find much on the forum about what is probably such a simple task to others. Thanks for all the help and input from everyone!

Did you get your motor out? Which method did you use to get the topmost bellhousing bolts out? What tips would you give me? All I lack in unbolting the top 2 and the exhaust flange.

There are two alignment pins that will need to disengage probably require a twist. But the big question is if you got the top two bolts out. last I heard you have drop the exhaust crossover or unbolt the body shell and make some room.

I figure its best to put in a body lift kit first, that way you can get those top bolts before going crazy. I figure in production the driveline is in place prior to body placement so no one ever cared that they were in a bad place.

when you searched you found the downloadable manual right?

yes-you need to slide the engine forward several inches.
the radiator should have been removed too so you don't munch it
