Hey

For the hose/pipe running from my air box to my intake.... Im leaning in the direction to use some type of hosing instead of pipe? My question is Does it matter what the hose is made off?? I found 3" id hose for an antifreeze line.

he is using a hose, but his is a wire wraped hose line....

So what are your guys opinions on using antifreeze hose... i was gonna run it with no couplings so it would be clamped on both ends

the reason im doing this is because my stock air intake hose is cracked and leaking badly..... duct tape is the current fix

Lowes/home depot, grey PVC pipe, 3'', 45* elbow, $3.something is what it cost me.....

ya i saw a pic of someone doing it with pvc pipe elbows, a year ago and cant find that thread so i can do a mock of that, anyone know where that is

3" exhaust pipe works well, you can have an exhaust shop bend it to approx. 45* and then you cut it to fit. (This also requires a couple of fittings.) Also, Spectre makes an aluminum intake pipe with a couple of fitment points and silicone couplers that works great. (Costs about $40 at AutoZone or the like.)

Check out the ISR threads here on yotatech, folks have found lots of good ways to do this mod.

I wouldnt use a metal pipe because metal likes to keep heat in, so your gonna have a hot air intake. Just my $0.02
