Quick/easy BJ spacer question....
I've finally finished making my BJ spacers for my 4Runner to offset the bumper/winch. Originally it stood 14" rim to fender and currently sits at 12.25". My question is can I install the 1.5" Bj spacers with the stock shocks/bumpstops to lift it back to where it was before the bumper/winch?
I know I really should get longer shocks, but I'm pressed for time/money before going camping on Monday (spur of the moment) and I would like (if possible) to add the BJ spacers if I will be OK for 3 or 4 days with no real wheeling!
Thanks Larry!

BJ spacers will make it look level. You can run with stock shocks but they will limit your travel and your ride quality.
you will need an alignment, the spacers will throw your toe in and your camber out of whack..

I don't know how people can wheel with stock length shocks and bj spacers(unless they relax the torsions). I tried it and totally blew one shock, bent one upper shock mount and tore both upper bushings to pieces. That was just one off-road trip.

Thanks for the help. I totally forgot about the alighnment, but I could have done that in the driveway - many people have and I did a few years ago!
The shocks are my main concern, being on there since we bought it about 9 or so years ago. I mean it is time for new ones, but not this weekend.
I'll just stare at the spacers for now...
Thanks again!
