Questions about replacing a tranny

I have the 93 3.0 a340h trans I believe... I have the o.d. problem after swamping it with muddy water, and flushing with 30 quarts of dexiii, and 1 pint of seafoam. I have a 92 runner with the same motor and tranny(i believe),and is in great working condition, my question is, will this tranny hook up the same to my 93, or will i need to change wiring harnesses, I have heard that the electronics were slightly different, and the plugs may not match up...also, if the gearing were different on these trucks, would i have to change anything else? any input would be appriciated...tia

It should work fine, I sold my 93 A340H to a guy with a 90 and it worked out fine. Just check that the speed sensors are both the same, if not swap them and keep your old speed sensor. The speed sensor for the speedo, not the ECU.

The transfer case is integrated with the tranny. So the transfercase is the same.

Yeah the tranny and transfer case should all have the same gearing, where the difference would be is the little gear on the speed sensor. Some had different number of teeth on them to calibrate the speedo to the truck gearing and tire size. So if you just keep your old one like I did, the speedo calibration will stay the same. The one in red circle was my original one, the other was from an old 4 cyl truck with a cable driven speedo. IIRC one had 18 teeth and one had 20 teeth. The hole they were in was the same, making swaping very easy, remove one bolt, pop it in, put bolt back.
