Q for cold weather owners-22RE fuel issue

Hi. Question for the owners in colder climates. My 91 22RE Auto, 2wd quit while driving. Its cold here, -25C at the time. It had 1/4 tank of fuel at the time. It would roll over and start for just a second and quit. It will do this repatedly with the run time decreasing each start attempt. I put a couple of litles of methyl alcohol in the tank with another 15 l of gas and tried again repeatedly with same results. Got it into a warm garage, plugged in the block heater and left it overnight. Next day it ran a little longer but still will not go for more than a few seconds at a time. Forced the fuel pump to run by holding the MAF flapper open and fuel can be heard running through the circuit. Disconnected the return line to the tank and there is flow. I have it in my own garage now and am trying to get it completely warm. I am thinking that maybe there is enough ice crystals plugging up the suction screen or the filter that there is enough fuel to see flow but not enough to maintain pressure.

Anyone know of something else I may be missing that would have the same symptoms? Perhaps the pressure regulator valve is being held open by ice? Where can I verify fuel rail pressure? Maybe its not ice in the fuel but something else coincidental to the cold weather. Thanks.

starting issue

Working my way through testing the AFM. Doese AFM just turn fuel pump on/off or does it input air flow to ecm/cpu as well?

Seems similar problem to other post by Stevenbrick https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116.../#post51016832

Anyone?
