Innocent Fool

Opening the hood seems to be a two man operation. I need to have someone pull the hood up while I pull the release handle from inside the cab. What can I do to get the hood to "pop up" on it's own? The hood closes OK, hinges aren't stiff, and everything looks good from what I can see.

Any Ideas? This 2 person thing is getting really old.

I had this problem on my wifes Camry. I adjusted the hood stops slightly up to where they put a little more lift and that took care of it. Never had that problem with my pickup.

WD-40 or some lubricant of your choice on the latch wouldn't be a bad idea.
