problems with body lift install
I got my truck lifted 3" on the cab so far, everything was going good until I got to the steering department.
I have a 3" performance accessories body lift; 5503M. this is on a 2wd p/u 1994 with no power steering.
Any ways.. it comes with a steering extension, nice solid aluminum piece that has been machined with male and female splines. After reading the instructions and the funky wording they use; aka.. steering coupler, steering joint, and not giving absolutely clear pictures showing where it installs; I assumed the extension went under the dash; and after a while we got it on there, but now the problem.. We cant get the other end onto the steering box. Not unless we dropped the steering column, but even then; how do I know it would even be able to get bolted back afterwords..
If I put the extension on the steering box; will I run into these fitment issues? Has anyone else installed a 3" performance accessories body lift on a 89-95 toyota pickup, 2wd or 4wd, its the same kit. maybe let me know what you did? Thanks!

cool; I did what you described and got it to go straight on today; hooked it all back up and have everything tightened and now its drivable! No more rubbing even with large bumps at 40mph! wooo!
Though; my shifter pops out of 2nd, and 4th gear because of the shift boot being too high on the shifter without an extension, so I will need to weld that bar in if I want to solve that problem.
