Hey all,
Im a complete noob to all this. Bought myself a 93 4runner 3zve 4x4 because I can't rememeber a time our family hasn't owned one. I do like getting out in the woods as much as I can when I'm home but I still use her as my DD. I plan on doing the full build within the next year or two. I already have somewhat of a plan laid out already, but still looking for some good advice on how I should go about it all.
So here is what I have kinda decided on.
Replacing the tailgate, (Cause it rusted to H***)
New brakes (cause she's due)
A nice full OME lift, thinking 3" up front and 2.5" in the rear.
33"x12.5" A/T KO2,
Lockers?
Aisin locking hubs,
Custom snorkle,
Custom Bumpers w mounted winch or winches? (I have two laying around)
Possibly a full drivetrain Swap, 5vze or 1uz? Still want to keep her auto though.....

Any advice or feedback would be appreciated. Criticize me all you want I dont mind.

Congrats on your new project!

There is a member here that makes replacement panels for our runners out of fiberglass. The company is called Toyota Fiberglass. In terms of priority I would start with some armor (rock sliders) and lockers ( the high end kind you can turn on and off). With these two modifications your truck will go almost anywhere. Locking hubs are a great improvement both for gas mileage and to reduce wear and tear on the front diff and cv's. I high recommend going threw the front diff. My 4runner has a lot of slop where the passenger axles goes into the diff, something to look out for.

The best and easiest engine swap for your truck the the 5vz. It pretty much bolts in, some exhaust work and wiring and you will be set.
