Power windows super slow with car off

95 4runner SR5. With it running the windows go up and down fine. Once I shut the car off, the Windows go up super slow. If I try to roll up 2 at once it is almost unberably slow. And the back window almost seems like it isn't going to make it up it's so slow. What would cause this? It's like it has half the voltage with the car off. TIA

It could just be the battery.

Mine were the same way. Get some silicone spray, roll the windows down and spray the tracks lightly, then roll the window up and back down, repeat 3 or 4 times.

Mine were really slow and now they go up really fast.

A new battery will help.

Clean all the contacts in the window switches/connectors. Thats worked for me in the past with window issues. Also X2 on the silicone in the window channels and lithium grease on the regulator tracks.

OK thanks for the tips. The battery is only 4 months old and is strong. I was worried it was some kind of voltage regulator or relay going out. I'll get some silicone spray, I have white lithium grease that should work.

Thanks again.

Id try the easy stuff before you tear into the door. The silicone spray really worked well for me. Let us know if it worked for you as well.
