power windows?

I'm pretty sure it's possible to put power windows into a non power-windowed (is that even a word?) vehicle but I don't know how hard it would be. The donor vehicle is an 88 4runner, the other is my 89 4runner so I know the door panels are the same size and all. So can I just install the regulator and the new door panels, run some power and be good to go?

Thank you in advance.

I bought a set of elec doors. Sold the electric stuff to my buddy, he is putting it in his truck.

One of the doors I had was a manual door converted to electric. Everything was there, as far as bolt holes. Except the hole to run the wiring past the door into the body. 1 1/2" hole saw should do the trick.

Most wires run to the big fat relay. Looked at the wiring schematic, really simple when you get into it.

So, there are a few threads that I could find dealing with this modification but this seems to the best one so far.

I've got a 93 pickup with manual everything. I am hoping to get the power windows/locks off of a junkyard special.

To continue on with this discussion, does anyone have a parts list of what to scavenge while I am gathering supplies? Do I need to find a pickup, or will a 4runner door work? I had thought about buying the entire door and taking it home and at my leisure swap the internal guts that way the paint still matches on the outside, but it seems as though there is stuff I need from the cab of the vehicle (that brain thing).

I am good with fabricating anything extra as far as brackets or doing some odd wiring, but I want the thing to end up to a passenger looking as stock as possible.

Thoughts? Comments?? HELP???

Thanks

EDITED SORRY OLD POST......THATS WHAT I GET FOR SEARCHING AND NOT NOTICING DATES

I've been planning on trying to see if 94 4runner motors and regulators can be put into my 91 truck doors. I've always known the upper glass rail section was shaped different bet never knew the door on the runner is shorter until I looked at the first reply link on this thread. Crap its about 3 inches shorter on the lower portion. I have 2 sets of complete wireing harnesses and 2 sets of front doors to rob parts from and probably can't use any of it If the regulators are short too. most likely they are.

I'm replying on here because I have an excelant PDF file that covers the wireing lableing and color scheam for both the power locks and windows from 93-94 Runners maybe others from 89+ I don't know the runners years that well. I don't want any money but just to help out if I can.

Heres an example: Its just screen shots I made into a picture file but they blow up on a computer nice to be able to read. I could always print them and snail mail if needed.

I was going to just rip out all the wireing that I don't need and use a run power to what I do need.
