can some of you guys post a pic of your powersteering pump and the pulley?, my trucks got the pump (not sure if it works) but im pretty sure it needs another pulley to get around the fan, trucks a 22R.......Also i was changing the alternator yesterday and noticed my dist is turned all the way to the right (clockwise) seems to run ok, its supposed to be somewhere in the middle right? not to far advanced and not to retarded , mind you i just bought the truck 2 days ago, thanks in advance guys

I just found this... I'm actually trying to pull out my power steering pump right now. It's been dead for a while; I had to replace my radiator so now seemed like a good time to fix the pump.

I've got a Chilton Guide and I can't make heads or tails out of its steering pump diagrams. Mine is an 85 22r pickup. I've got three belts, and I can't see anything that makes contact with what I think is the power steering pump.

Do the 22r and the 22re use the same steering pump mechanism? These pictures so far have been helpful... I don't suppose anyone could go so far as to take a picture and label things, hmm?

Thanks!

i pretty much figured it out now. The gearbox i wound up with goes to a 4x4 and does not fit mine. I have already modified and fabricated and welded and shoved it in, and it appears that it is working somewhat but it is binding as it is noooot quite straight. .. almost. Seems a tiny bit off is all it takes. Ive already shimmed it but looks like im going to have to drill at least one more hole through the frame
