Power Steering Problems
A while back I took my truck to a shop to get worked on, they didn't do that great of a job and told me the power steering pump was going out.
I know the system has a big leak somewhere, but it all seems centered on the left side, around the gearbox.
And the pump seems to work just fine, even though I've started it with the fluid so low that the fluid frothed up and the pump rattled.
Who else thinks it probably the gearbox? How hard is that to fix?

I changed my whole system out not to long ago, new gearbox and pump, etc. My input shaft seal on the gearbox was leaking along with the pump. You can either replace them with rebuilt units or rebuild them yourself.
