Popping after motor rebuild

"Popping" is a pretty general term. Possibly an exhaust leak. Or is the engine back firing?

Also now it wont even go im taking it in on monday but im super stressed cause i spent 1800 on the rebuild and i dont know whats wrong. it starts up just fine but as soon as i hit the gas it slowly builds rpms and when its in 1st when i push the gas down it dont even go it shakes really bad at idol and when i tried to go. air coming out of the tail pipe is sputtered and i plugged the tail pipe and it didnt stall out can a vacuum leak be causing all these problems? also i went under the hood and when i pushed the throttle in i could hear it sucking air or trying to suck air by the air intake box never heard this before so idk if thats normal but i dont think it is really confused any thoughts would be awesome

Yes, a vacuum leak could be causing your problems.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but what did the problem turn out to be? My rebuilt engine is doing the same thing.
