Pictures of OEM engine bay
hey fellas,
the first generation 4runner i just bought has had the motor replaced, like many of you guys on here.
I checked the vacuum diagram and everything seems to be in the correct location, but it is just a mess under there.
does anyone have any pictures of how its supposed to look from the factory? In other words what is the original routing of the vacuum lines in the engine bay?
the diagram on the bottom of my hood is basic and just shows hose hook up points, not how they are actually supposed to be routed across the motor.
I guess i could just try to cut out a lot of the extra hose and make it look clean, but i am a little anal and would rather know how toyota did it. i mean with all the over engineering i have seen in everything else they have done, they must have chosen the routes they did for a reason.
thanks
bryan

Bleeder's thread is awesome but he did some reconfiguring, so it's not original any more.
thread "B" in my sig has lots of pics and i have lots of pics too.

yeah I'm not so sure that I'd refer to mine
I did take plenty of pics, but before the rebuild it was just too dirty to make much out, and after the rebuild, well, there's a lot of "non-OEM" things and configurations there
