Pickup vs 4Runner frt. sway bar

I'm thinking of getting a front sway bar from a pickup to put on my 4Runner, as opposed to buying spherical rod ends with which to make swaybar disconnects. The pickup appears to have different SB ends.

Here is the 4Runner disconnects:


The pickup's is different, the endlink goes through the swaybar end. It looks a bit like this. Note: this is not a Toyota picture.

when you pull the cotter, the threads on the rod are gonna chew up the joint on the bar.

Perhaps, but I doubt the will happen at a very rapid rate.

Just ditch the swaybar totally.
