Patching the PAIR/intake hose

I'm in the final stages of putting my motor back together, and have one last hurdle to overcome. The metal pipe that runs under the intake plenum on my 3.0 that attaches at one end to the PAIR reed valve and goes to the intake on the other end has a rust hole in it. I cut out the bad piece, so now there is a hole about the size of a stick of orbit gum in the pipe. I think that JB welding a piece of copper sheet to seal the hole should work. Anyone else have any other suggestions, or comments, or anything?

Anything that stops it from sucking air will work~

I've used JB Weld in a lot of strange places, to include the filler neck on my gas tank!
