passenger seat problem

wondering how this rail is supposed to be working? It slides, kinda. But looking at the bottom of this, it appears there should probably be another spring on the left side. Not sure what it looks like, and therefore a suitable replacement or maybe even the part number. But even then I won't know how and where to connect it. Any help would be much appreciated.
This is the passenger seat on my 88 4runner.
Thanks

It is normal to only have one spring. Its just there to help you bring the seat forward and also so that it springs forward when you pull up the seat release.

Did the seat have problems while in the 4runner?

i don't remember it having problems. The trucks been sitting while I do a 3.4L swap, but now that I'm finishing up I noticed the difference and wasn't sure if i knocked off a spring somewhere.
