Paint in valve Cover??

Well i got my extra valve cover powder coated and i told the guy that the holes neeeded to be covered, i didnt want any paint getting in. he said no problem, well i went to pick it up, and well the pictures can show how it was done.

So how do i go about removing it, or is the oil not gonna effect it? ill make sure its cleaned out but, i dont want the paint flaking off or anything in the oil.

what would you guys do? i want to put it in with the new gaskets tomorrow after work.

$20(valve cover-thanks BLKNBLU)
$30 for the powder coat.
$50 for all the gaskets from the dealer

well another day unsuccessful at gettin the 63" chevies from the junkyard(first time got there as they were closing, didnt know it was a picknpull so i didnt bring tools today, and found out the hard way, all the other junkyards around here wont even let you bring in tools)

So tomorrow i may put the valve cover on with the new gaskets after i pressure wash all the oil, mud outta the engine bay.

You could pour a little brake fluid on the shelf inside the tappet cover. Or, if you are certain you told the painter, take it back and ask him to remove it. That said, if its power coated, it probably won't damage your engine if you leave it.

just leave it. Powdercoating isnt like paint. it wont 'flake' off. It is part of the metal now.

The powder coat is baked on and is alot harder than paint, don`t worry about it, it won`t come off.

That looks sweet. I should get mine done. It's just spray painted black right now.
