oil seal leak drivability
So I noticed some spotting under the truck last night, and upon inspection my front oil seal has a small drip.. my question is.. I am suppose to leave tomorrow camping and have to drive 200mi round trip and am apprehensive now with the truck belly being oiled (I am sure it leaks more running) and possiably to risky to drive. I don't have the time, not the tools to extract the crank bolt prior to my departure... in your opinion, should I leave it home or is it ok to drive (no 4wheeling)?

if it was leaking really bad.... you'd prolly know it by now. That being said... it could get worse on the trip, but I doubt it would leak all the oil over a 200 mi trip. so just bring extra oil, and be easy on her.

thanks folks, its just a drip (approx 1.57mL per mi), enough to coat the undercarrage over a period of time though.. any risk of fire or seal blow out?.. I would be devestead if I lost the truck, the engine I could care less except the very costly tow home from BFE
