Oil Pressure Guage.

Oil Pressure Guage.
Original oil pressure switch on the 88 22RE is located on the right side of the engine below the oil
filter, it interrupts the ground which shuts off the dash light, if your installing a mechanical guage
you'll need a "T" fitting if you choose to keep the dash light operational.
If your using the rear port under the oil filter
filter, it interrupts the ground which shuts off the dash light, if your installing a mechanical guage
you'll need a "T" fitting if you choose to keep the dash light operational.
If your using the rear port under the oil filter

I'm pretty sure the oil pressure port in the block is threaded with an 1/8" BSPT 28. The size is close to NPT but the thread pitch is slightly different. I would not be surprised if you could get an NPT 27 to not leak, but you're distorting the threads so I wouldn't plan on switching back and forth.

Its a different fitting all together?
Thanks sop much for this post.
I have a T o n the OEM position, but swtiched to an SR5 cluster.
The OEM Pressure sender is "larger (diameter)" than the on/off switch, so it wont fit on the T.
Since I already run braided line, extending the braided line is a piece o cake!

I don't think the sender is threaded 10mm-1.0. I assume you put a scale on it; the major diameter of an 1/8" BSPP is 9.728mm https://mdmetric.com/tech/thddat7.htm so it will be hard to distinguish between 10mm-1.0 and 1/8" BSPP that way.
Autometer sells the adapter. http://www.autometer.com/1-8-npt-to-...-pressure.html At one time they listed some vehicles that called for it, but I can't find that now.
While I don't claim to understand the use of BSPT at all, I have no idea why any auto accessory manufacturer would use 1/8" NPT anywhere. Everything else in a car is metric.

Back from the dead....
I found THIS device that may help
https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pr...sp?RecID=11217
Or I may decide to use the second port that is under the motor mount.
Thanks for pics - I was wondering HOW to get the second port open. Now I know!
If I decide to use the port under the motor mount, I already use -3AN hose to take the pressure to the gauge.
Here are the adapters to get the 1/8 BSP to -3AN for a leak free setup
(the hoses have -3AN F ends - these they have a swivel, and can be easily clocked
