oil pressure

This isn't some extreme in depth problem, on my 86 pickup 22r I noticed that after every time I run it there is fresh oil underneath. So I traced it back and it seems to be coming from the oil pressure line that comes from the gauge in the dash, to the block, and it is leaking from the connection on the block, how should I fix this or is.it just a mess with till it stops leaking?

You shouldn't have a line that hold oil pressure unless you have a aftermarket oil sender unit. The factory ones are electrical and have a pod that screws into the block allowing a single wire to plug into it. If that's leaking then you may wanna un screw it and add some plumbers tape to the threads.

Now if you have a aftermarket gauge then its just as cheap to replace it then redoing the lines. If this is the case is the line plastic or copper. If it plastic then to be honest those are junk. Go to local parts store and buy a copper line and new fittings to fix it.

here are some pics of the fitting in the block under the oil filter on the passenger side, it seems to me that when the truck is running and i wipe the residue off it comes from where the hose goes into the fitting

Could i take out aftermarket plastic line oil pressure unit and lines and replace it with an electrical one or is there more on the inside of the motor that would need to be changed?
Also are the electrical ones more reliable pressure wise compared to the tube kind?
