Unhappy Oil leak

Got a 91 toyota pickup 22re motor, just had the bottom end rebuilt, the guy that rebuilt it didnt change the valve seals so it was burning some oil, no running issues whatsoever besides the valve seals. I get a guy to change the valve seals for me, i get about 10 miles up the road and it wont shift past second gear, it starts sputtering and dies on me, i pull over and try to start it but nothing happens, wait 20 mins then i get it to start but while it idles it sounds terrible like its barely running, and now there is oil leaking near the back of the motor and my oil light is on on the dash. I need advice on this please guys

Change the valve seals??? Just how'd he do that??

It's a major job that includes replacement of the head gasket to be done correctly.

What did the mechanic charge you? Have you asked him make it right?
