offenhauser intake question
ok here's the rub...im trying to install an offy intake onto an 81-84 head the bolt holes line up but there is one water passage towards the rear of the intake that is not completely covered with the manifold...how would i cover the hole or in this case its more like a small square..the manifold covers almost half of it by itself..also even if the manifold lined up with the water passage the manifold doesnt have a hole in it for the water to circulate anyway..any suggestions would this intake even fit on the 85-95 heads and have the water passage in the same place and i still have this problem..also i have a highly sought after remanufactured r151 transmission with zero miles on it will trade (or sell for right price) for a zero to low mileage w56 5 spd tranny to do a swap into a 2wd 88 pickup..this tranny has been gone through by man trans in jacksonville and has never been installed most 4 wheelers like it for the lower first gear compared to the w56 anyway..also i was told it was a little beefier because it was usally found in the turbo model trucks..my plan was to put the new motor and this transmission together the motor is an 81-84 22r which i wanted for the option to install a dual timing chain and have the reliablility or the dual chain and brand new insides to go along with the nearly new transmission..but i wanted to use the offy intake any thoughts also if this isnt doable and you have an 85-95 22r thats rebuilt with no time on it thats a long block and want to trade id be open to that as well..just pm me or answer this post thanks again brian
